AGENCY FOR SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT - VISION is a legal non-profit entity, which works for the public benefit. It was founded in 1997. The organization has 10 years’ experience in the field of social activities. The organization is specialized as a service provider in the area of culture, business and social development for different social groups with, as a priority, people with disabilities . The organization has over 60 implemented projects, some of them heralds of pilot European models and practices in the field of providing services for disadvantaged people, especially people with disabilities, their organizations and their families:
1997 - First Information and Consulting Centre for Persons with Disabilities in Bulgaria.
2000/2001 - Pilot project Building up a System of Personal Assistants. The service “Personal Assistant” is provided in Bulgaria for the first time.
2001/2002 - Pilot project Community Services. Initial long-term programme for providing services for the community.
2003/2004 - European Cultural and Information Centre Vision - a new upper structure for the organization, developing completely the previous experience in the field of culture, business and social development with new elements of national and international partnership.
The organization provides a wide range of services to nearly 1000 clients annually through its own long-term programme for launching new and alternative models and forms of social protection for people with disabilities and other disadvantaged groups : it imparts information and consulting services, legal defence, administrative law services, creative and training services, intermediate and other services in order to motivate its clients for activity and personal realization.
Agency VISION obtains experience in delivering services for different social groups on European models that are extremely new for BULGARIA in the area of partnership and service delivery for the service providers. The social development agency VISION has great experience in the realization of projects turned to capacity-raising of the NGO sector also as building up partnership relations between the NGOs, governmental and municipal authorities. The organization obtains experience in the establishment of networks and coalitions of organizations also providing services for their members.
With regard to the establishment of networks it is important mention that Agency VISION organized the first Forum of the service providers for persons with disabilities in Bulgaria in October 2007 in Varna. The forum was organized with the support and partnership of Varna Municipality and the European Association of Service Providers for Persons with Disabilities and with the participation of Ministry of Labour and Social Policy in Bulgaria.
105 leaders of organizations- service providers for persons with disabilities from Bulgaria, employers and representatives of different organizations and institutions which are in relations with the problems of persons with disabilities have taken part in the forum. At the end of the four-day programme a discussion was carried out with the participants of the forum - representatives of 58 Bulgarian organizations- from the non-governmental sector, representatives of the public and private service providers, of the employers etc. were united round the idea for establishment of service providers’ network in Bulgaria.

- Member of the Regional agency for entrepreneurship and innovations – Varna
- Member of the Agency for economical development-Varna
- Initiator and founder of a network of organizations in the North-eastern part of Bulgaria
- Initiator and founder of the network for the service providers for persons with disabilities in Bulgaria
- Partner of the National council of disabled people in Bulgaria
- Partner of the Varna district administration, Varna municipality and other municipal and governmental organizations
- First Bulgarian member organization of EASPD
